Sprint To Save Galgos

Please sponsor our runners in this year’s Medina del Campo 10k run. Christina Azharian Taylor, Dray Taylor, from Colorado, and Mysti Martin, from Oregon, USA, will run in aid of Scooby’s rescued galgos during their visit to Protectora y Santuario Scooby which coincides with the Medina del Campo 10k run on 27 April 2019.

Once they have completed the 10K, we will post their respective “finish photos" on the Protectora y Santuario Scooby Facebook page.

If you would like to sponsor them, please send your sponsorship to our PayPal account::

Please mark it: 10K2019

The funds will be used towards the costs of taking 48 galgos to loving homes in the USA in 2019.

Any monies raised in excess of the final cost of the total galgo haul to the USA will go to Scooby’s running costs (including dog food, veterinary fees).

Christina Azharian Taylor leads Daphne Legacy Tour (DLT) named after her precious galgo who passed away in 2017. In her name, the Daphne Legacy Tour has set a goal to bring rescued galgos to the United States.

Last year, DLT was responsible for the single-largest movement of galgos in history from Spain to the United States. Twenty-four beautiful galgos were safely transported to their forever homes in the US, and given the lives every dog deserves

This year the target is even greater

The first group, 32 galgos, will leave Protectora y Santuario Scooby at the end of April with Christina and accompanying flight chaperones.

Scooby is truly honoured to collaborate with DLT.

This effort is huge and will make a massive difference to Protectora y Santuario Scooby, not to mention the lucky galgos who are homed with families in America. Visit the Daphne Legacy Tour Facebook page to learn more.

If you would like to participate in the Medina 10k in aid of Scooby, please PM us.

Alternatively if you are local, please join the route to cheer the runners on.
