Teenagers’ Isolation Unit

Protectora y Santuario Scooby has finished the bulk of the work to build the “puppy” isolation unit.

It was more or less complete just as lockdown started and two members of the core team who have been isolating on site at the shelter put the final brick in the wall last week.

Last year Scooby rescued 1,300 dogs: 60% were puppies - predominantly galgos and galgo mixes.

Scooby needed better accommodation for the youngsters (the very young babies go to foster homes).

The construction has been funded by Tierschutz FELLiz mit Herz in Switzerland, Greyhound Compassion and some generous private donations.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and thank you to Zacharia and Elomari for doing the heavy work.

Scooby is thrilled to have the much needed accommodation.
